Job opening: Accounting Manager

We at R.STAHL Tranberg AS are now looking for a detail-oriented leader who thrives on working strategically and operationally. The role interacts with several departments internally and externally; solid collaboration skills and communication abilities will be emphasized. With an overarching responsibility to understand the company’s financial situation, the accounting manager is expected to prepare the basis and analyses for the parent company, the management team, and the department heads. Therefore, it is emphasized that you are motivated by being closely involved, proficient with systems, thinking innovatively, and interested in understanding/improving the workflow from A to Z.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Prepare annual accounts, monthly reporting from A to Z
• Analyze and prepare income statements and balance sheets along with variance analyses
• Budgeting and forecasting, liquidity planning
• Provide financial analysis for performance management and decision support, prepare relevant business cases for the management
• Prepare and review monthly reporting to ensure compliance (actual figures, forecasts, and plans)
• Financial planning and monitoring
• Perform reconciliations for relevant accounts on the balance sheet
• Leadership and development of internal controls, routines, procedures, and best practices
• Year-end reporting to the group and authorities
• Early reporting to the parent company and authorities
• Be the point of contact for external auditors
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations
• Treasury management / control and maintenance of cash pool arrangements
• Be an active contributor to the implementation of new ERP and new digital tools

Desirable Skills and Knowledge:

• Master’s degree or other relevant education in finance, accounting, economics
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Advantageous to have experience working in an international company
• Solid experience with ERP systems such as SAP is an advantage
• Fluent in Norwegian and English, written and spoken
