Job opening: Discipline Lead, Mechanics
R. STAHL Tranberg AS, based in Stavanger, is actively searching for a mechanical engineer or someone with technical insight and a similar background. It is paramount to us that you possess an interest in developmental work and comprehension of mechanics while also acknowledging the exciting link to electronics and optics.
With us, you will join a multidisciplinary R&D department where product development, prototyping, and testing are key focuses. The days can vary greatly; it’s often bustling but also allows personal ideas to be tested. We’re keen to have you on board if you can work independently yet collaborate in teams on projects that necessitate it. We are a creative and knowledgeable bunch, engaging in everything from 3D modelling on screens to 3D printing and completed machining. All under one roof. We’re passionate about what we do and the short journey from idea to product.
Tasks Include:
- Product development and project management
- Material selection, construction techniques, and simulations
- Prototyping, trial, and testing
- Technical product responsibility
- Coordination with suppliers and our own production departments
- Expertise in mechanics
Desired Qualifications:
- BSc in mechanics, mechatronics, or equivalent education/experience
- Experience and interest in product development
- Familiarity with Lean and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Knowledge of relevant standards like ATEX, IECEx, DNV, etc.
- Experience with ERP systems, Teams, Jira, Solidworks, AutoCAD, etc.
