Both models in the TRANBERG® IMT Floodlight range use high-power LEDs with a Fresnel lens for a superior 2400 lm beam, a marine-grade anodised aluminium housing, and an integral mounting bracket – built to ICAO Annex 14, CAP437 and NORSOK requirements. Choose the TEF 9975 for hazardous (Ex) areas, or the TEF 9976 for safe areas. See the comparison below to pick the right unit for your installation.

TEF 9975 vs TEF 9976 – which helideck floodlight?

Both units share the same optics, output and housing. The deciding factor is the area classification of your helideck or mounting position.

If the helideck or mounting area is a classified hazardous zone – common on oil & gas and many offshore installations – the explosion-protected TEF 9975 is required. For non-classified safe areas, the TEF 9976 gives the same light output at a lower cost. Both accept the optional high mounting bracket (Part No. 50520081) and anti-glare hood (Part No. 50523268).

FAQ

What is the difference between the TEF 9975 and TEF 9976?

The TEF 9975 is explosion-protected (ATEX/IECEx) for Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22, while the TEF 9976 is for safe areas only. Optics, output, housing and mounting are otherwise identical.

Are these floodlights approved for helideck use?

Yes. Both are designed in accordance with ICAO Annex 14, CAP437 and NORSOK for helideck floodlighting.

Can the floodlights be dimmed or controlled?

Both models include a DALI interface for control and dimming.

What mounting options are available?

Each unit has an integral (low) bracket with horizontal beam adjustment. A high mounting bracket (50520081) and an anti-glare hood (50523268) are available as accessories.
