The TRANBERG® TEF 660 is an Ex e / Ex d thread adaptor for hazardous-area enclosures, developed and manufactured at the R. STAHL Tranberg factory in Stavanger. It converts a cable entry to a different thread size or thread type so that a new cable gland can be fitted in an enclosure with a different hole diameter. This series has a male NPT thread towards the enclosure and a female metric or NPT thread for the gland. Available in brass and stainless steel AISI 316 (EN 1.4401).

Special conditions for use: only one adaptor is permitted for each cable entry. Blanking elements shall not be used with adaptors. When NPT threads are used with an Ex d enclosure, the threads must conform to ANSI/ASME B1.20.1.

Selecting the right adaptor
Every variant has its own part number. Choose by male thread (the thread in the enclosure) and female thread (the thread of the cable gland you want to fit). Across-flats and across-corners dimensions are given for spanner and hole-spacing planning.
