The TRANBERG® TEF D620 is an Ex e / Ex d cable gland for unarmoured and braided cables, made in brass. It seals on the outer sheath of the cable and clamps it with a gasket developed by R. STAHL Tranberg: an elastic, expandable silicone with an admixture of coarse aluminium-oxide grains that grip the cable surface. The result is a 100 % pull-out force integrated in the gland itself, fully compliant with the clamping test in IEC/EN 60079-0, and no special conditions for safe use.

Selecting the right size
Every variant has its own part number. Choose by entry thread (the thread in the enclosure) and overall cable diameter: the cable’s outside diameter must fall inside the clamping range of the sealing code. Several sealing codes are available for each thread size, so a given cable can often be fitted through more than one entry size. Across-flats and across-corners dimensions are given for spanner and hole-spacing planning.
The same gland is also available in stainless steel AISI 316.
