The TEF 2618 lets the crew operate the Commander searchlights from the deck: a small cabinet connects to the RS-485 searchlight network, and the robust handheld radio panel selects and controls up to eight searchlights with a range of 500 m under optimal conditions. The handheld has an internal rechargeable battery for about 30 hours of continuous use, a battery indicator, up to 10 programmable PIN codes per transmitter and 69 selectable frequencies between 433.075 and 434.775 MHz. Delivered with carrying strap and charger. The single channel version has one remote control and a 400 × 400 × 200 mm cabinet; the dual channel version with two remotes (2618100001) is discontinued.
