The TRANBERG® TEF 4500 Commander Utility is a general-purpose control system for maritime applications, developed and manufactured at the R. STAHL Tranberg factory in Stavanger. Operator panels on the bridge and output modules in a cabinet are connected by a robust twisted-pair RS-485 network that can be hundreds of metres long. Up to 7 panels and 21 output modules can share one network, and several identical panels can control the same output from different locations. The panels are custom built with text in the customer’s language, backlit and dimmable, with alarms shown by flashing LEDs and a buzzer.

Selecting the right panel
Choose the width by the number of buttons you need: 3 columns give 21 buttons, 7 columns give 53. Helideck panels come pre-configured with 8 buttons. Each panel needs a Lexan foil with the final button text, ordered with the exact definition of text and unused buttons. Output and interface modules are listed under TEF 4500 modules; the complete helideck lights control system is the TEF 4500 HLCS.
