The TRANBERG® TEF 1058 heat trace end seal termination closes the far end of a self-regulating heating cable circuit inside a certified stainless steel box, with an indicator lamp that shows at a glance that the circuit is live. It is built on the TEF 1058 junction box platform in acid-proof stainless steel AISI 316L, developed and manufactured by R. STAHL Tranberg in Stavanger, and is certified to ATEX and IECEx for zone 1, zone 2 and safe area. Two part numbers: pipe mounted (on the traced pipe, with a transition unit for the heating cable) and wall mounted.
Application
- End termination of heating cables in hazardous areas: chemical and petrochemical industries, industrial plants, frost protection and temperature maintenance
- Visual confirmation that the heat tracing circuit is energised, at the end of the line where faults are otherwise hard to spot

Selecting and installing
Choose the pipe mounted version when the end of the heating cable sits on the traced pipe, and the wall mounted version when the termination is placed beside the line. The heating cable enters through a connection kit for pipe mounting matched to the Raychem cable type (5 × 11 or 5 × 15 mm, hot or cold applied). For high-temperature lines add the elevator, and fit the Norwegian/English caution label at the end seal.
