The TRANBERG® TEF 5023 92 is a compact bimetal ambient air thermostat in chromium-plated brass, encapsulated Ex mb for Zone 1, Zone 2 and safe area. It switches a heating circuit on when the ambient temperature falls to the closing point and off again at the opening point, with a local normally-open 16 A contact and flying leads through an M25 entry. Two switching ranges: +3/+12 °C for frost protection and +10/+20 °C for temperature maintenance. Developed and manufactured at our own factory.
Application
- Ambient control of enclosure heaters, heat-tracing circuits and anti-condensation heating in hazardous areas
- Zone 1, Zone 2 and safe area
Features and benefits
- Chromium-plated brass, small dimensions, M25 entry thread
- Local NO 16 A contact, easy to install
- Encapsulated Ex mb, ATEX and IECEx certified

Installation notes
Protect the thermostat with a max. 16 A circuit breaker with a breaking capacity of 1500 A, mounted inside an enclosure; in classified zones the breaker must be ATEX certified. See the wiring diagram in the datasheet.
For heaters with the thermostat built in, see the TEF 9207, TEF 9208 and TEF 9209 enclosure heaters.
