The TRANBERG® Compact Navigation Light TEF 2891 Simplex is a sealed LED navigation lantern for ships, certified for zone 2 and safe area (ATEX II 3G Ex nA IIC T4 Gc). The lantern is made of anodised aluminium, stainless steel AISI 316 and borosilicate glass, is rated IP68 and comes with a 10 m flying lead, so no junction box is needed at the lantern. The simplex version has one LED light source; a duplex version with two independent light sources is available for installations that require redundancy. Visibility 3–6 nm, power consumption 1–10 W at 24 V DC, 100 000 hour lifetime. 16 part numbers – select by lantern type and colour below.

Selecting the right lantern
Pick the lantern by its function and sector: masthead 225°, starboard and port 112.5°, stern and towing 135°, all-round 360° or half-round screened 180°. Choose simplex where a single light source is sufficient and duplex where class or flag state requires duplicated navigation lights. The standard (safe area) version TEF 2890 Simplex has the same lantern range.
