The TRANBERG® TEF E205/624 is an Ex e cable gland for unarmoured and braided cables in brass, developed and manufactured at the R. STAHL Tranberg factory in Stavanger. It is the sister of the TEF E204/622 with one difference: the seal between gland and enclosure is a PTFE (Teflon) gasket instead of an O-ring, which suits chemically aggressive environments. The cable is sealed on the outer sheath with a silicone gasket. All sizes have a 15 mm entry thread.

Special conditions for use: the gland must be used with the PTFE gasket to maintain the IP rating, and additional clamping of the cable shall be installed so that pulling and twisting is not transmitted to the terminals.

Selecting the right size
Every variant has its own part number. Choose by entry thread and overall cable diameter: the cable’s outside diameter must fall inside the clamping range of the sealing code. Several sealing codes are available for each thread size. Across-flats and across-corners dimensions are given for spanner and hole-spacing planning.
