The output and interface modules of the TRANBERG® TEF 4500 Commander Utility sit on a DIN rail in a cabinet and are connected to the operator panels by the RS-485 network, developed and manufactured at the R. STAHL Tranberg factory in Stavanger. Up to 21 output modules can be connected, and the network cable may be hundreds of metres long, so the modules and power relays can be placed where the consumers are. All modules have a built-in snubber network for a wide range of communication cables and report a non-responding module as an alarm.
Application
- Switching of deck lights, floodlights and helideck lights
- Control of contactors, electromagnetic valves and visual indicators
- Monitoring inputs and heating control
- Interface to VDR, SCADA or an external control system
Features and benefits
- DIN-rail mounting, IP20
- Alarm input and alarm reset input, 24 V DC opto-isolated

Selecting the right module
Use the relay output module for plain switching, the I/O module where inputs are needed for monitoring or external push-buttons, and the gateway to integrate with the ship’s control system. Operator panels are listed under TEF 4500 operator panels; the complete helideck lights control system is the TEF 4500 HLCS.
